Welcome to the White Shepherd Dog Club  of New Zealand, formerly the White Swiss Shepherd Dog Club of New Zealand.
Why the name change?
In New Zealand we do not have the liniage of White Shepherds that have the pure white matings going back some three generations so there is a prevalence of links to the German Shepherd with the White gene.
While some breeders are importing new blood stock and working towards the Swiss Standard , others are working with existing lines in the various coat lengths.
This Club is here as an umberella for us all to work under, to help foster good breeding standards and provide facilities for registration of dogs and breeding kennels plus information on the breed for all who want it.
We look forward to seeing new liniages from the mix of imports and New Zealand lines.
As a club we will continue to work towards Kennel Club recognition of our breed as has been successful in other parts of the world.
